Description

Grade II. C1900 for W W Astor by T Waldo Story. Stone Renaissance style balustrades to a section of footpath overlooking the Thames. Modelled on Villa Borghese balustrade [CAS 0440902004] with turned balusters and carved eagles on piers. Six sections divided by piers on west side, 3 sections and a single pier against the hillside (B7).
