Description

Grade II. c1900 by T Waldo Story for W W Astor. Marble fountain of 3 superimposed basins of diminishing size set on marble central shaft. The upper basin has carved tortoises around the edge. Adjacent is a curved stretch of red brick and stone balustraded wall derived from the Borghese balustrade [CAS 0440902004] (B7).
