ALL DENHAM MANOR MILLS MENTIONED IN 'COMPOTUS ROLL', 1388, INCLUDING THE MEDEMILL, ALREADY OLD. CLEAR THAT THIS STOOD WHERE MR MERCER'S MILL IS (B3-4 ).
FROM ILLUS IN B3, CLEAR THAT MILL IS BUILDING AT NGR, NOW USED AS WORKSHOP & GARAGE (B5).
CEASED WORK C.1911 (B6).
MARKED ON MAPS (B1-2).
Shown as 'Black Jack's Mill' on map of 1602, and as 'Denham Road Mill' on maps from late C19 onwards. The 1842 Tithe Map schedule records the mill and it's associated buildings as owned by Daniel Hull (or Hall) Webb and occupied by Henry Stephens (B8).
