Description

REMAINS OF A HOMESTEAD MOAT & FISHPOND DOUBTLESS MARK THE SITE OF THE OLD HALL DEMOLISHED C.1788 (B2). HOMESTEAD MOAT (B3). NO TRACE OF A MOAT. AN ELABOR-ATE SERIES OF FISHPONDS ARE THE ONLY COHERENT REMAINS OF A MANORIAL SETTLEMENT CENTRED AT NGR (B4).

This area was assessed as part of the North Buckinghamshire Aerial Investigation and Mapping project (EBC18304) and the features mapped are recorded in MBC1140.(13)
