OLD WENTWORTH MANSION DEMOLISHED & REBUILT USING OLD MATERIALS NEARBY. APARTMENTS NAMED IN 1690 INVENTORY: HALL, DINING ROOM, 2 WITHDRAWING ROOMS, 2 STUDIES, SMOKING ROOM (PRESUMABLY ON THE GROUND FLOOR), ABOVE ARE MENTIONED MR WENTWORTH'S LODGING-CHAMBER, THE COURT-CHAMBER, THE GREAT-CHAMBER, THE SATIN CHAMBER, AND 8 OTHER CHAMBERS; THERE WERE ALSO GARRET-ROOMS. THE OFFICES INCLUDED THE KITCHEN, BUTLER'S CHAMBER, LARDER, PANTRY, DAIRY, DAIRY-MAIDS' CHAMBER, CHEESE-CHAMBER, APPLE-MILL-ROOM, BEERHOUSE, WASHHOUSE, AND BUTTERY. TRACES OF SITE & GARDENS REMAIN (B1).
