CONSTRUCTION OF A PYRAMID BEGAN 1726, DESIGNED BY VANBURGH, BUT HAD GONE BY C.1786. VISIBLE ON RIGAUD'S ENGRAVINGS. VERY STEEP SIDED WITH A ROOM WITHIN. SMALL EXCAVATION IN 1991-2 CONFIRMED SITING AT NGR & FOUND REMAINS OF BASE & STEPS & ENTRANCE CORRIDOR (SEE REPORT & PLANS) (B16).
