Description
Grade II. Tower, c.1730, attributed to James Gibbs, originally standing in the 'Wilderness' of the early C18 garden with other structures since removed but recorded in the Nebot paintings in the County Museum. Ashlar stone low circular structure with moulded plinth, cornice and battlemented parapet projected out on small moulded corbels. Gothic arched opening with moulded arch and hoodmould on north side, approached by a flight of 5 curved and moulded stone steps. Small quatrefoil opening opposite.
