A survey by English Heritage in 2000-2001 noted that the parallel earthworks survived to a maximum height of one metre and appeared to have been landscaped to form ornamental features - probably during the eighteenth century when West Wycombe Park was created. The scarps would have been clearly visible from the possible prospect mound (SU 89 SW 8) to the north-west of the pleasure grounds.
