SMALL RECTANGULAR MOATED SITE WITH ISLAND 50 CM HIGHER THAN OUTER BANKS (B2).
NO MEANS OF ACCESS TO ISLAND. SPOIL FROM DITCH THROWN INWARDS TO RAISE INTERIOR. A WELL VISIBLE IN DRY SPELL (00:001)(B3).
SITE NW OF CHALFONT LODGE. HOMESTEAD MOAT (B2).
SCHEDULED SAM 27153 (B6).
There is a very small, square moat sited on the golf course northwest of Chalfont Lodge with no evidence of any access to it. The ditches are water filled, and the water source is from a well in the ditch (B7).
