Plan Form - RECTANGULAR
MOAT, SW OF HOUSE, FED BY ALDERBOURNE (B2).
MOAT FILLED IN AT NW END. NARROW ISLAND - ONLY 3M WIDE: ENTRANCE ON SE SIDE. TREE COVERED. MOAT POSSIBLY WIDENED FOR DUCK POND ON E SIDE. BETWEEN MOAT & HOUSE ARTIFICIAL CHANNELS CONSTRUCTED QUITE RECENTLY FOR FISH (B4).
Nothing more seems to be known about this moat except that it is fed by the Alderbourne. It has been designated by the Buckinghamshire County Museum as a site which should be preserved (B8).
