Description

ROMANO-BRITISH POT,'BICONICAL' SHAPE, RIM MISSING,SANDY GREY WARE.FOUND IN EXCAVATION FOR DRAIN TRENCHES,ST MARY'S VICARAGE,PARSONS FEE,AYLESBURY,AT NGR. ALSO FOUND: IRON FIBULA & C14-15 POTTERY(B1)



Various finds of Roman material have been found in, and within close proximity to the Museum Yard, Church Street at SP 81781386. (B4 and B5).
A bronze pin was found in the Museum Yard in 1909 (B4), and a Romano-British pot, together with part of an iron fibula, was unearthed during excavations for a drain, at St Mary's Vicarage, Parson's Fee at SP 81701370, by Mr E Neary (B6). All of these finds were acquired by the Bucks Co Museum. Romano-British pottery and spindles etc have been found in Granville Street SP817139 (B7).
