Grove strongly defended by curtain wall (B6).
Owner asserts that during recent work no trace of curtain wall on W side of inner moat found (B1, note 7).
Included in Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register in 2015-2023. Condition described as very bad and priority category A: 'Immediate risk of further rapid deterioration or loss of fabric; no solution agreed' (B16-24).
