Description

Grade II. C18. Stucco, old tiled roof. 2 storeys, cornice. C19 shop front with end pilasters, simplified entablature. 2 first floor sashes, C19 glazing bars (B5).
Listing description amended 31st January 2001: Shop with living accommodation over. Retains two bays of a timber framed structure of c1600 refronted in early C19 with late C19 shopfront and later C20 refenestration. Timber framed refaced in stucco; plain tiled roof with red brick chimney stack to right hand ridge. 2 storeys; 2 windows. Stuccoed moulded cornice. C19 sash windows had been replaced by late C20 wooden casements at time of survey. C19 shop front with end pilasters and simplified entablature. Interior retains two timber framed bays of c1600 which probably connected with no 58 Kingsbury. Visible features include on first floor tie beam visible in west gable, beam with 3 inch chamfer and jowled post in centre of original rear wall. Large blocked space on east end of ground and first floors is probably original chimney. Other features including staircase with stick balusters, cupboards and firegrate are C19.
