FEATURE NOTED S FACE OF SOUTHERN FEEDER GAS PIPE TRENCH DURING ROUTINE CHECK 1.5.77 (B1).
SHOWN TO BE A 'WELWYN TYPE' BURIAL (B3).
VISIBLE AS DARK, ROUGHLY BOWL-SHAPED FEATURE INSIDE OF TRENCH. BULK OF GRAVE FINDS HAD BEEN REMOVED BY DIGGER & DEPOSITED ON SPOIL HEAP. MOST WESTERLY OF WELWYN BURIALS (B4-5).
