Description

A/S SHIELD BOSS, SPEARHEAD, KNIFE. INHUMATION BURIAL (B1). SPEARHEAD FOUND AT GASWORKS NR SITE OF BRACKLEY CASTLE, 1867 (SO IN NORTHANTS). SHIELD BOSS PROBABLY FOUND BETWEEN BRACKLEY & TURWESTON, C19. SAID TO HAVE BEEN FOUND WITH SPEARHEAD BUT PROBABLY NOT SO. NO KNOWLEDGE OF KNIFE (B2).

On show in Northampton museum with the information "….. Between Brackley and Turveston. Given by Mr Judge". The family of Mr Judge was not traced (B5).
