HENRY DE BLOIS, BISHOP OF WINCHESTER, BUILT BERRYSTEAD HOUSE ON HIS LANDS IN IVINGHOE. CONVERTED TO A FARMHOUSE; ALL THAT REMAINS (IN 1812) IS OLD KITCHEN & 2 TUNNEL FIREPLACE. COURTS LEET & BARON HELD HERE (B1).
BERRYSTEAD REFERED TO AS MANOR HOUSE IN 1592 (B4) & C18 (B3).
NGR TO MANSION EARTHWORKS (B5).
