ELSAGE FARM CALLED A MANOR TILL C17; IN 1283, WAS GRANTED TO MERTON COLLEGE. IN 1853, THE COLLEGE 'MERELY POSSESSED A FARM IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD KNOWN AS ELSAGE'(BI2). NGR TO 'ELSAGE FARM' (BI3)
