Description

Dimensions - Length 300cm, Width 200cm, Height 250cm.
Plan Form - Oval.
SPRING CALLED STOMP WELL (B1-2).
OVAL SHAPED STONE WELL-HOUSE, ABOUT 2.5M HIGH AT HIGHEST POINT. ABOUT 3m LONG (N-S) & 2M WIDE. ENTRANCE ON E SIDE. WHOLE BUILDING MUCH RUINED. PIECES OF TILE AROUND BUILDING INDICATE IT WAS PROBABLY ONCE TILED. REMAINS OF WOODEN WINDING GEAR SURVIVE AMONG THE DEBRIS INSIDE THE WELL-HOUSE (B4).
WELL-HOUSE HAS BEEN RESTORED THROUGH A VILLAGE MSC SCHEME (B5).
