Description

Dimensions - Length 2134cm, Width 229cm.
'Lock' at NGR (B3).
1 of 2 locks on Buckingham Branch. Had a rise of 6 feet (B5).
Derelict lock on the Buckingham Branch of the Grand Union Canal. Narrow lock, about 70 feet long and 7 feet 6inches wide. Rise about 6 feet. Lower gates double; one standing ruinous; one disappeared. No date visible but appear similar hinge as upper gate. Surviving gate had gate paddle. Upper gate single. Hinge dated 1896. Gate collapsed. Chamber brick, seems sound. No lock-keeper cottage (B4).
