1580 MAP SHOWS WINDMILL APPROX AT NGR (B2). SITE IS IN 'MILL KNOB FIELD': HIGHEST POINT HAS ELONGATED MOUND NOT RESPECTED BY RIDGE & FURROW, WHICH IS PRE-ENCLOSURE BEING 2 FURLONG DIRECTIONS IN SAME FIELD (B3). NO TRACE OF MOUND ON AP BUT ENABLES ACCURATE NGR TO BE MADE FOR SITE (B4).
