PROBABLY PARTLY NATURAL,IT HAS BEEN ENLARGED & DEEPENED.SPOIL HAS BEEN THROWN UP ONTO EDGE & INTO CE NTRE TO FORM AN'ISLAND'.ITS PROXIMITY TO THE RAILW AY SUGGESTS IT WAS ALTERED WHEN THE RAILWAY WAS BU ILT GIVING THE POND AN IRREGULAR SHAPE(BI1)
