Description
MANY PITS & WELLS DATED TO 12TH & 14TH CENTURY, WHEN THIS AREA BECAME BACK GARDENS (B4).
TRACES OF 2 BUILDINGS (B3).
Radiocarbon dating of samples of a charred grain layer from large pit suggests a substantial Saxo-Norman grain deposit probably dating to the first century of the Norman period, although an early 11th century date is possible (B10).
