(SP 817 136) In 1925, Alderman Thomas Field made a gift to Aylesbury Museum of various objects found in his garden, which stood on the reputed site of the Franciscan Friary (SP 81 SW 12). The finds included fragments of Roman Pottery gold coins of Valentinian II and Mauritius Tiberius; 7 denarii and brasses of Antoninus and other emmperors, together with silver coins of Henry II, Edward II, Edward VI, Mary, Elizabeth I etc. A Roman fibula was also found (B1).
This is presumably 'The Primroses', Rickfords Hill, indicated as the site of the Friary on the RCHM map (B4).
