Description

POSSIBLE ROMAN ROAD, ON LINE OF VIATORES 166, EXPOSED BY WATER BOARD TRENCHES AT NGR. 20-25CM THICK 'METALLING' OF GRAVEL & FIST-SIZE COBBLES EXPOSED IN 2 TRENCHES FOR A TOTAL WIDTH OF C3M. WORKMAN HAD ENCOUNTERED THIS SURFACE IN SEVERAL PLACES FOR C 50M N. PHOTOS WITH BAS (B1). SEE ALSO CASS 02979.
