C13, ST THOMAS' HOSPITAL, SOUTHWARK, HAD 3 MILLS CALLED GOSENHAM MILLS AND FULLING MILL THERE BY 1403 (B2-3).
LELAND IN C16, AND DEFOE IN C18, MENTION THIMBLE & LINSEED OIL MILLS AND C.1700 LARGE-SCALE THIMBLE PRODUCTION BEGAN (B3-4).
Detailed historical notes, 1930s condition and photograph. Standing disused in 2006 (B12).
