'LOUDWATER MILL (PAPER)' AT NGR (B4).
PAPERMILLS BEGUN HERE IN C17. REF TO PAPERMILL CALLED LOUDWATER, 1638 (B5,B14).
1804,1816 INSURANCE (DAVIS & PLAISTOWE) (B6).
R PLAISTOW OCCUPIER, 1816 & 2ND MILL HERE IN 1814. NO REMAINS ON GROUND (B11).
CLOSED C.1935 (B10).
Historic building recording (Level 1) carried out by Archaeological Solutions in May 2004. The surviving buildings appear to date from the mid to late 19th century and the late 19th to early 20th century, with extensive alterations in the 20th century. See report for detail (B13).
