Description

ON RIVER MISBOURNE 2 KM E OF AMERSHAM. POSSIBLY A DOMESDAY MILL (B1).
NAME MAYBE FROM QUERENDONS WHO HAD RIGHTS IN AMERSHAM C13 (B7).
LOCATED 1788 (B3) AS A CORN MILL. DISUSED 1936 (B8).
MACHINERY REMOVED C.1940. MILL STONES SURVIVE. NOW A PRIVATE HOUSE (B1).
Detailed historical notes and 1930s condition. Disused in 2006 (B9).
There is a brick edged leat up stream from Quarrendon Mill (NGR SU 9756-9637). It was first mentioned in1768 and was last used in c.1930 (B10).
