DOMESDAY BOOK RECORDS 2 MILLS WORTH 23 SHILLINGS ON THE KING'S LAND AT AYLESBURY (B1,B14).
1788 MAP MARKS WATERMILL APPROX AT NGR (B2).
2 WATERMILLERS (JOHN HOARE, WILLIAM RUSSELL) RECORDED IN POSSE COMITATUS (B3).
'WALTON MILL' AT NGR (B4-5).
PROB CEASED USING WATER POWER C.1915. STILL USED AS A CORN MILL [1983] (B6).
MENTIONED IN WILLIAM COOPER'S ACCOUNT BOOKS C.1830 (B7).
NB NEW SURVEY (B8).
Watching brief during geophysical test pitting indicated some potential for localised survival across the site, although there appeared to have been much disturbance associated with 19th and 20th century building construction (B9). RCHME building survey (B10).
