Description
CHAPEL OF ST JAMES, FOUNDED BY RALPH HALYWELL PRE 1337. FOUNDED CHIEFLY AS CHAPEL OF EASE TO IVINGHOE CHURCH. GRANTED TO THOMAS REEVES 1550, BUT STILL IN USE THEN. DEMOLITION DATE UNKNOWN; REMAINED CONSECRATED GROUND TILL 1820. 2 OLD PEOPLE RECALL GRAVES HERE (B2, 1856).
