ROQUES MAP 1760 SHOWS 'PAWLINGS', JEFFERYS' MAP 1788 SHOWS 'PALINS', BRYANT MAP 1825 SHOWS 'OLD HOUSE' ALL IN APPROX. SAME POSITION. NOTHING SHOWN ON OS. 6-INCH MAP 1960, EXCEPT A SMALL COPSE BUT 'ASHWELL'S FARM' AND 'BRAWLINGS FARM' NOTED IN THE VICINITY (B1-4).
