QUANTITIES OF MED POT INCLUDING WASTERS, FOUND IN RESTRICTED AREA OF FIELD (B2-4).
FABRIC: SANDY, QUARTZ TEMPERED,?DERIVED FROM LOCAL CLAY WITH FLINTS. PHASE 1 (01:000) C13, GRITTY, UNGLAZED. PHASE 2 (02:000), FINER, GLAZED (B5).
Evidence from Great Missenden Abbey cartulary for potter called Peter Pottarius that may be connected to this medieval pottery kiln on Potter Row (B6).
