Description

COINS OF AD 68-348 FOUND IN GARDENS (B4).
MR CHERRY STATES HE FOUND 8 ROMAN BRONZE & SILVER COINS IN HIS BACK GARDEN (NGR) OVER MANY YEARS. 5 ARE OF TRAJAN, GALLIENUS, OTHO, FAUSTINA I, CONSTANS. OTHER 3 ARE UNDATED. TRACES OF ROMAN TILE IN HIS & ADJACENT GARDENS (B ).
PROBABLY ASSOCIATED WITH CASS 0364 (B2).


Roman coins of 1st to 4th century found in gardens at Shootacre Lane, Saunderton (SP 7901) (B4).
Mr Cherry (b9) states that he found eight Ro bronze and silver coins scattered over the surface area of his back garden (centred SP 7944 0225) over a period of many years. Five of the coins are of Trajan, Gallienus, Otho, Faustina I and Constans, and have been verified by Aylesbury Museum. In the possession of Mr Cherry, as are the three other undated coins. Although there are traces of Ro tile in Mr Cherry's garden and adjacent gardens, there is no further information on other finds along Shootacre Lane (B8).
