Description
MAIN BAILEY IN PARTICULAR FULL OF VERY SMALL FRAGMENTS OF C13-15 POTTERY (B2).
ALSO IRON AGE A FLINT-GRITTED & FRAGMENTS OF BELGIC OR DERIVED BELGIC 1BC/AD C1. FROM AREA TO E OF CASTLE (B4,B7).
(SP 83270635) An Iron Age early A2 sherd has been found on the surface of the motte and bailey on Cymbeline's Mount (SP 80 NW 5). Finger printed ware has also been found there together with RB and medieval potsherds (B4).
