Description

A mill was recorded on Tingewick manor in Domesday (1086)(B1).
In 1340 there was a watermill that had been included in a valuation of 1291 (B6,B15).
Domesday mill was 200 yards along mill dam; foundations still set in the bank, adjoining the sluice gates, which probably fomed part of the original mill (B9).
