Ludgershall. Lands here were granted to Santingfield before 1156 by Henry II and a hospital dependent on Farley, Bedfordshire was apparently built as in 1236 Henry III granted oaks to the master for the repair of his houses which had been burnt. In VCH 1 the existence of a separate hospital is considered uncertain, though a master of Farley and Ludgershall is recorded in 1295 Dissolution was circa 1414. (B4, B7, and B5)
