An extensive Prehistoric or Roman field system, possibly incorporating some settlement enclosures, trackways and pits are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The field system comprises a series of conjoined rectilinear enclosures which measure on average 60m by 50m. The field system incorporates two double ditched features which are probably the remains of trackways. It is possible that some of the enclosures, and the pits scattered throughout the system, form parts of a settlement or settlements. The different alignements and overlapping of some of the ditched boundaries probably indicates different phases of the site and some of the boundaries may be much later in date. Two Bronze Age round barrows are situated at the south west end of the settlement and the small size of one of these barrows suggests it may alternatively be a hut circle associated with the field system/settlement (B8).
