Description
POSSIBLE KILN SITE IN FISH ARBOURS FIELD, W OF MANOR FARM (ABOVE NGR). CONSIDERABLE AREA OF BLACK SOIL. A QUANTITY OF POTTERY FROM A SMALL EXPOSED AREA . MOSTLY JUG SHERDS, SOME OVERFIRED (B1).
MORE MEDIEVAL POTTERY FOUND ALONG FOOTPATH ON N EDGE OF FIELD, C.100M W OF KNOWN AREA (B4).
No kiln has been found though it is considered that there is one in the vicinity of the finds. The pottery is tentatively dated to the 14th-15th century and now is now in the County Museum (B2,B5).
