Description

ROOF TILES FOUND ON SITE, ESPECIALLY S & E OF ENCLOSURE. SW OF ENCLOSURE WAS A ROUGHLY CIRCULAR AREA OF PITCHED TILE, POSSIBLY ROOF COLLAPSE, BUT MORE LIKELY AN OVEN BASE. THIS FEATURE IS ABOUT 3M DIAMETER & CENTRED AT SU 7872 9433. QUANTITIES OF SHAPED BUILDING FLINT CONFIRMS SETTLEMENT (B1-2).
