Description
Dimensions - Length 23m, Width 18m.
Plan Form - E-shaped.
On 2 of chimnetpieces & over small gateway in outer walls are the arms of Burnham Abbey, which held Beaconsfield Manor, this was probably the capital messuage (B1).
2 storey house, early C16. Forms 3 sides of courtyard, with wall enclosing 4th. (Full description) (B2).
Grade II+. C16, completely restored in 1901. Brick; timber and plaster; tiled roof. Surrounds 3 sides of a courtyard. Hall on west, and enclosing wall and doorway on east. Contemporary doorways, carved stone fireplaces, other features, and later panelling. Used for parochial purposes (B3).
An important early C16 house built as the parsonage by William Rawson in 1534. (More detail) (B6).
Remains of paintings on the fireplace and two posts in the north wall of a room at the east end of the north wing. One post has a female head and shoulders in Elizabethan costume, and there are traces of other figures and ornament (B7).

Built in the first half of the 16th C and said to be on the site of a cell of Burnham Abbey. It was restored in 1901 and is now used for parochial purposes. (2)
The Old Rectory; an obviously restored building as described by RCHM; partly used as a parish hall etc and partly let out in flats. Condition good. (See ground photos) (B8).
Said to have served for a time as a sub-priory to Burnham, but no documentary evidence of this appears to have been found -b11- (B9).
No further information; the house is not outstanding. (B10)
