Description

SINGLE TRENCH OPENED TO TRY TO CORRELATE MESOLITHIC LAYER IN THIS FIELD WITH THAT IN TROUT HATCHERY DOWNSTREAM (CASS 5050) & TO SEE IF THERE WAS A BURIED HORIZON. ALL FLINTS FOUND WERE IN TOPSOIL BELOW WHICH WERE NATURAL RIVER GRAVELS (B4-5). (FINDS SEE 01:001-003).
