PROBABLY OF EARLY MEDIEVAL DATE & ORIGINALLY CONSISTED OF 2 STONES, THE LOWER CONTAINING A VERY SHALLOW BOWL, 1FT 5IN DIAMETER, THE UPPER STONE FITTING INTO THE BOWL & FORMING A PESTLE FOR GRINDING. CONDITION BAD: STONE BROKEN IN MANY PIECES, COVERED WITH VEGETATION (B1).
