1620 MAP SHOWS ROUGHLY CIRCULAR FIELD CALLED 'CASTLE DITCHES' WITH A POSS MOUND IN ITS CENTRE (B1).
PROBLEM OF EXACT LOCATION OF 'CASTLE DITCHES' - OS SITE TO EAST (CASS 02150) WHICH DOES NOT CORRESPOND TO MAP INFORMATION. FIELD VISIT SHOWS AREA TOTALLY BUILT OVER (B2).
