168 SHERDS OF ROMANO-BRITISH POTTERY FOUND DURING FIELDWALKING: 26 RIMS; 1 STRAIGHT PIE DISH SIDE; PARTS OF 3 MORTARIA; 3 PIECES SAMIAN, INCLUDING DR33 - POSSIBLY 2ND CENTURY; 1 BLACK COLOUR COAT, (POSSIBLY NENE VALLEY WARE); 134 BODY SHERDS; ALSO SEVERAL TILES OF UNCERTAIN DATE AND 1 MEDIEVAL SHERD (B1).
QUANTITY AND RANGE OF POTTERY SUGGESTS THAT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A ROMANO-BRITISH BUILDING IN THE VICINITY.
