Description

Grade II. House. Dated 1726, altered C19 and C20. Rendered with incised masonry patterns and plain-tile roof. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central 4-panel door approached by 2 stone steps, with overlight and rendered surround with Tuscan pilasters, supporting entablature and low pediment. C19 8-pane sash windows to ground floor left and right. 6-pane sashes to 1st floor and to pair of gabled dormers. Rendered plinth, 1st-floor storey band and moulded, rendered eaves. Small datestone to right of central 1st-floor window inscribed P(?)G/ 1726. 2-storey extension to rear. INTERIOR: boxed spine beams. Dogleg stair with stick balusters, scrolled tread ends and ramped and wreathed mahogany handrail (B1).
