Description

FURTHER EARTHWORKS: HOLLOWAYS, HOUSE CLOSES ETC NOTED ACROSS ROAD & S OF PREVIOUSLY RECORDED AREA OF SHRINKAGE (B6).


(SP 706144). Earthworks of field system, hollow way and possible minor desertion visible on air photographs. (B12 and B13).
Centred SP 70551430. Four possible steading sites associated with boundary banks, and a slight hollow-way are visible on a north west sloping pasture field named The Close (b15) within the village of Ashendon. Some surface digging is visible over the area and according to the farmer, modern dumping has occurred on the site also. Surveyed at 1:2500 on photostat (B14).
