Description
SHERDS, ROMAN: 2 MORTARIUM; 1 PIE DISH RIM, C2-C3; 3 MISC RIMS; 32 MISC SHERDS, GREY, ORANGE, HANDMADE; 1 WORN COLOUR COAT BASE, MICACEOUS FABRIC. POST-MED SHERDS OVER WHOLE FIELD & 3 CLAY PIPE BASES. UNDATED: 8 PIECES TAP SLAG? FOUND BY MRS P HOLT. OTHER RB SHERDS FOUND IN SAME AREA IN 1960 (B1).

The site lies in low lying pasture on the flood plain of Thistle Brook. No further finds were made, and no further information obtained from Bucks Museum (B3).
"SP 86571693. Approximately thirty sherds of Romano-British pottery, some of late 2nd. to 3rd.century date, were collected by Mrs.P.Holt whilst investigating an earlier report of finds from the area. Now in Bucks Co. Mus. Acc. No.526.74" (B4).
