Description

INTERIOR OF ENCLOSURE REVEALED A MEDIEVAL SURFACE EXTENDING OVER MUCH OF S HALF OF ENCLOSURE. PROBABLY A YARD, THE SURFACE CONSISTED OF PACKED FLINT ON CLAY SUBSOIL & WAS ASSOCIATED WITH 100 C12/C13 SHERDS. IN CENTRE OF ENCLOSURE FLINTS FORMED A TERRACE SUPPORTING AN E-W FLINT WALL ACROSS SITE (B2,B8).
