Description

ROMAN DOLPHIN BROOCH, AD 65. FOUND IN TOP HUMUS SOIL OVERLYING COURTYARD (01:000) (EXCAVATION 3) WITH MEDIEVAL POTTERY. TAKEN WITH ROMAN POT (00:002) THIS CLEARLY INDICATES ROMAN OCCUPATION IN LOCALITY. POSSIBLE THAT LINEAR EARTHWORK (07:000) IS CONNECTED, AS IT IS PRE-MEDIEVAL BUT UNDATED (B6).
