Description

SOME ROMAN SHERDS FOUND ON SITE, FROM EXCAVATIONS IN SE SECTION OF RING-WORK & NEAR DOVECOTE, GENERALLY IN SE AREA OF SITE. FINDS INCLUDED SHERD OF OXFORD MORTARIUM, C3 & SPINDLE WHORL MADE FROM A BASE, & A FEW OTHER SHERDS. (SEE ALSO FIBULA, 00:003). CLEARLY THERE WAS EARLIER OCCUPATION (B6).
