2-STOREYED HOUSE,BUILT IN C16,NOW MOSTLY COVERED WITH ROUGHCAST OR TILE-HANGING.PLAN ORIGINALLY L-SHAPED.MODERN WING AT E CORNER IS C19 (FURTHER DETAI L)(BI1).DEMOLISHED AFTER BEING SEVERELY DAMAGED BY A LANDMINE IN WORLD WAR 2: THE ONLY BOMB TO FALL ON AYLESBURY IN THE WAR (ILLUS)(BI3).AT NGR(BI2)
Walton Grange, destroyed by land-mine on 25 Sept 1940, a ‘Hazells’ pensioner, Mr Ernest Johnson, was killed by this mine (B4).
